What’s important is to never overstay your visa, extending the visa gives you the freedom to stay as you don’t want to pay unnecessary penalties.

Extended Visa Bali – What Changed In 2025?

It’s important to note that Bali’s visa extension rules changed in June 2025. Unlike before, extensions can no longer be completed entirely online. Instead, it's now a two-step process. You’ll need to submit an online application through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, uploading the required documents or to make it even simpler, just ask your visa agent to assist you. You'll then be required to visit the immigration office in person for biometric verification.

Whether you're extending your VoA, e-VoA, Tourist Visa, Business Visa, KITAS or other type of visa, you’ll need to follow the same steps. While the process is relatively straightforward, it's strongly advised not to wait until the last minute as processing times can range from 5 to 10 business days, depending on the visa type.
